As a Labour Party member and activist I don’t often find myself saying this; but I fully support the Conservative controlled West Dorset District Council over their decision to relocate the council offices.
This proposal makes clear economic sense over the medium to longer term.
I would be the first to criticise the cuts imposed by the Conservative-LibDem government to vital front line services up and down the country.
However, this proposal will ensure more funding for local services and jobs over the longer term.
The Lib-Dems locally appear to be very exercised over this issue, whilst remaining deafeningly silent on the savage cuts that their party are imposing in government.
