A MAN suffered a broken nose in an attack outside a pub.
The 44-year-old victim was in the car park outside the Sun Inn at Lower Burton near Dorchester when a car drove ‘at speed’ towards him, police said.
When he remonstrated with the occupants he was verbally abused and attacked.
Officers have just released details of the assault which happened last Friday night.
PC Jess Chapman, of Dorchester Police, said: “The victim was standing in the car park outside the pub when a car drove in at speed towards him.
“The victim put out his hands and placed them on the bonnet of the car.
“A female passenger got out of the vehicle and became immediately abusive.
“The male driver got out of the vehicle and punched the victim, causing him to fall to the ground.”
PC Chapman added: “The vehicle is described as a light-coloured car.
“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this assault and anyone with any information about the offending vehicle or those responsible, to contact me urgently.”
