Among the bemused shoppers treated to the performance was John Abbott, aged 46, of Fulbrooks Close, Bridport, who was shopping with his daughter.
He said: “I recorded some of it on my mobile phone because I thought it was quite good.”
His daughter Natasha, 22, had never seen a Flashmob before.
She said: “I would definitely like to watch one again.”
Karen Ace, aged 50, of Gloucester Street, Weymouth, said “It was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
Yvonne Taylor, 62 and Julie Chivers, 51, were enjoying a day’s shopping on a day-trip from Poole.
Yvonne said: “Suddenly there was lots of noise – we thought ‘What’s going on? It must be the sale’.”
