THE OLYMPIC Flame will be arriving in Weymouth and Portland on July 12 next year.
The London Organising Committe (LOCOG) has announced the first 74 locations on the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay route.
In a year’s time the Olympic Flame will arrive in the UK from Greece and its 70-day relay will start at Land’s End, Cornwall on the morning of May 19 2012.
On leaving Land’s End, the Olympic Flame is expected to travel an estimated 8,000 miles around the UK giving thousands of communities and individuals their moment to shine.
It will arrive at the London Olympic Stadium on July 27 2012 for the lighting of the cauldron at the Opening Ceremony, signifying the start of the 2012 home Games.
