COUNCIL leader and chairman of the staffing committee Angus Campbell said it was faced with ‘tough decisions’ as it looked to balance the books following the revised proposals for changes to staff terms and conditions.
The changes were put forward following a constructive meeting between councillors and union representatives on the staff consultative panel.
Coun Campbell said: “We have been listening to the views of staff and working very closely with union colleagues to try and find a way forward.
“These are extremely challenging times and we cannot under-estimate the impact on staff.”
