THE Mayor of Chickerell Jean Dunseith ended her term by helping out with a litter pick.
Members of the Chickerell Litter Prevention and Cure Team grabbed rubbish bags and picking sticks and set off for the annual spring clean.
Residents from the Littlesea Estate joined them as they focussed on an area from Cockles Lane to the Fleet Lagoon, known as Chickerell Footpath number 32.
Councillor Dunseith joined Brian Bean, chairman of the Chickerell Litter Prevention and Cure Team, and members of the estate to help clear the path.
Coun Dunseith said: “It is so nice to end my term as Chickerell Mayor by being out with residents to help improve the community that we live in.”
Residents interested in becoming involved in the project can ring Brian on 01305 770678.
