A COUPLE who first met at school had their perfect laid back and relaxed wedding day.

Katrina Stone, 21, married Aaron Hitchcock, 21, at St Nicholas Church in Broadwey on Saturday, May 7.

Katrina works as a support worker for a Dorset residential home and Aaron works for Ultra Electronics in Weymouth.

The couple met on their first day in Year Seven at Wey Valley School.

Katrina said that Aaron did not leave her alone and told her he loved her.

The pair were good friends throughout school and when Aaron went to Plymouth University they stayed in touch and their relationship developed from there.

Aaron proposed in March 2009 in the centre of Plymouth. Katrina said: “He kept saying ‘will you marry me?’ I said stop being silly, get up off the floor, he was down on one knee.

“Then he got a ring out and I thought: ‘Oh my gosh he’s serious.’”

The couple had a big party at Redlands Community Sport Hub after the ceremony.

Katrina said: “It was so casual and relaxed it was like a really great party atmosphere.

“It’s great being married, we’re really happy.”

The couple want to thank family friend Chris Whitefield who took the wedding pictures and their families and friends for joining them for the special day.

The couple are off on honeymoon tomorrow and will spend eight days touring around Canada and the USA.
