CLAMPERS in Somerleigh Road have attracted the wrath of several motorists with their hardline approach over the years.
The situation caused so much controversy that clampers were temporarily called off by the company then responsible for the development in 2007. Complaints included clamping a postal delivery van and immobilising a car while a four-year-old girl was inside.
At that time, PS Enforcement Ltd had been enforcing Parking restrictions in the area and clamping unauthorised vehicles on behalf of Wessex Place Management Ltd.
Premier Parking Services has since been instructed to take over.
