FRIENDS of St Mary’s are holding a Quiz Evening on Saturday, May 21 in Maiden Newton Village Hall.
Please come along at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Teams of 4-6 will be playing and the cost is £5 per person to include a delicious meal. Please bring your own drink.

This exciting event takes place at 7pm on Saturday, May 21 in Frampton Church.
Tickets cost £6 on the door. This includes a glass of wine and nibbles.
All proceeds will go to Frampton Church Restoration Fund.

LITTLE Acorns and Funky Monkeys are holding an Italian Sunday Lunch at Evershot Village Hall on Sunday, May 22, starting at 12.30pm.
The menu consists of lasagne (beef or vegetarian), garlic bread, salad and pudding. Please bring your own wine, cutlery and plate.
The cost for adults is £6, for children £4 (under 2’s free), Tickets are available from Little Acorns or Evershot shop.

RAMPISHAM Village is holding a Festival Weekend on Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22. This will be a four-part event.
A flower festival centred on the church will feature on both days between 10am and 5pm. On the Saturday, teas will be served between 2.30 and 6pm in the village hall, where there will also be a plant and produce sale (including those famous cakes!).
On the Sunday evening, a special dedication of the beautifully rebuilt lych gate will be coupled with a Songs of Praise service at 6pm amongst all the lovely flowers. Hay fever sufferers, please come and suffer – it will be worth it!
LEE at Broomhill Cottage will be holding a tea party in aid of the Blue Cross Animal Charity on Wednesday, May 25 between 2.30 and 5.30.
Whether or not you know much about the charity, Lee’s cooking skills are legendary!
STRATTON and District Home and Garden Club has organised a visit to The Lookout, Portland Bill for 7pm on Wednesday, May 25. 7pm.
You will need to arrange your own transport on this occasion.
ST MARY’S Wives’ Group will be welcoming Trish Walton to their meeting on Thursday, May 26 at 7.30pm in Stratton Village Hall. She will be telling members and visitors about her visit to Mumbai and the Harvest Church of Grace.
The following meeting (to be held in Bradford Peverell Village Hall) will feature Terry Putnam, who will be speaking about The Last Narrowboat Families.
Once again, everyone is most welcome, even chaps!
