FAMILY law solicitor Siân Merriott has joined Nantes Solicitors of Weymouth, Dorchester and Bridport.
Siân qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and worked as a general practice lawyer in Weymouth before moving to New Zealand for eight years with her husband.
Siân said: “I am very excited about joining Nantes and helping to grow the family law side of the practice.
“I am very aware that there is no such thing as a ‘one size fits all’ divorce or separation.
“I have a great deal of experience and success pursuing family matters through the courts but sometimes when couples divorce or separate it is in both their and their children’s best interests to reach an amicable and practical agreement face-to-face.
“I am fully trained in the collaborative family law process and always endeavour to achieve the fairest and most cost-effective outcome for my clients.”
Siân is a member of Resolution and the Law Society’s Advanced Family Law Panel, and is a trained collaborative lawyer.
Nantes director and solicitor Mike Harvey said: “We are delighted to have Siân joining our established family law department.
“Siân’s in-depth expertise will ensure we continue to resolve family issues quickly and sympathetically.”
