MILLIONAIRES Ed and Michelle Edwards enjoy sailing in Weymouth but have kept their feet firmly on the ground since winning the National Lottery.

The couple have told how their life has changed since they scooped £1.925 million on the lottery three years ago.

One indulgence they splashed out on was a 40ft motorboat motor cruiser with two bedrooms and three floors.

The Sherborne couple are among a host of UK winners who spoke out about their life since winning the lottery as the EuroMillions was last night relaunched as a twice-weekly draw, with an £85 million jackpot.

Ed and Michelle embrace the lifestyle by taking monthly sailing adventures on Polly from Weymouth Marina.

They have also been to Barbados, New York, Dubai, Spain and Portugal.

Michelle, 42, said: “Winning the lottery changes your life. It’s changed my life more than it’s changed Ed’s.

“You always dream of doing these things but dreams do not always come true. I wouldn’t change anything.”

Ed, 46, still works as a computer engineer for the Avon and Somerset Probation Trust.

He said: “The money wasn’t enough to retire on because in 10 years’ time all that money would be gone.

“There are charities we are close to, we look after ourselves and buy ourselves a few treats and we know who our friends are.”

And the couple, who have four children, still play the Lottery.

Michelle said: “We bought two scratch cards recently and won a fiver.

“Most of our money has been tucked away, we’re lucky we have a brilliant financial advisor who brings us down to earth.”
