A 70-YEAR-OLD missing woman has been found in a Weymouth pub.
Molly Buckingham travelled to Weymouth from her South London home and had already been missing for six days when she booked in for a week at The Somerset pub and hotel in King Street.
She told locals she came to visit as she had grown up in the resort but after one night called her family and police were called to the pub.
Mrs Buckingham was taken to be checked by doctors before returning home.
Before being found in Weymouth she had last been seen by a neighbour on the morning of May 1 in Glover Close, Abbey Wood, South London, carrying a large black bag. It is not known where she had been for the week.
The last time she went missing was over 10 years ago when she travelled to seaside locations including Blackpool, Southend, Folkestone and Herne Bay although she has no connections with those towns.
Police had issued a missing person appeal as relatives told them Molly had recently become unhappy and there were fears she may miss her medication.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: “Molly Buckingham was located in the Somerset pub in Weymouth on Sunday, May 8, and was taken to hospital by Dorset Police.”
