WHILST visiting Weymouth at Easter I was dismayed to see that no improvements have been made at the ladies toilets on the corner of Bond Street. They are a disgrace to the town.
I have been visiting Weymouth for over 50 years, and these toilets have slowly disintegrated to the bare necessities. Have any of the councilors or Environmental Health Department visited them recently?
There is no need to demolish the old building the toilets are situated in, all it needs is modernization inside.
Money has been allocated to renovate the King George statue. The Olympic visitors will travel on an improved new road into Weymouth but visit antiquated toilets in town.
Weymouth Council need to get their priorities in order and give the local and visiting ladies decent toilets, even if they have to pay 20p a visit like other towns I visit.
