AROUND 3,000 scouts, beavers, cubs and explorer scouts from across Dorset enjoyed 24 hours of activities at Budden Scout Camp near Bere Regis.
The youngsters, aged six to 18, also had a visit from survival expert and chief scout Bear Grylls who flew in by helicopter for the Dragon 24 event.
County commissioner Mike Parkes said: “It’s been 24 hours of solid activity from Saturday lunchtime to yesterday lunchtime. We’ve had lots of water activities, climbing, bouncy castles, archery and all sorts. It was amazing for the youngsters to be able to meet Bear.”
