- THE RACE for Life is with us again! – at Kingston Maurward on Sunday, 22nd May.
This year, my daughter & granddaughters are part of the Beechcroft St Paul’s Primary School Team, but are still competing in their sister & auntie Rheta’s, memory. Anyone who would like to support this brilliant Cancer Research UK Charity click on: http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/beechcroftbabes and make a difference (if you don’t have a computer, contact me or the school for a sponsor form). Many thanks.
- WE ARE really sorry to see the departure of Tim Sparks after the sale of the Manor – the Sparks family have been connected to the village since 1753, when Isaac Sparks bought the Manor and have always had the interests of the village in their hearts – keep in touch Tim, we will always be glad to see you or hear news of you, good luck in your future ventures.
- IT WAS with great sadness that we heard of the death of Frank Snuggs, after a long fight against cancer – the family was always an active part of village life during their years in our midst and were frequently seen after they moved, as they were only a few miles away.
Our thoughts and prayers are with them all.
- DON’T forget that Di Ludlow is again hosting the annual RNLI Plant Sale and Open Garden at Friar Waddon Farm House, Friar Waddon, on Wednesday, 11th May – 10.30 to 1.30 pm. This is a treat not to be missed – beautiful gardens, wonderful plants, morning coffee & light lunches – it is well worth a visit AND you are supporting our Lifeboat! See you there.
