A MAN has appeared in court charged with murder following a stabbing in Dorset.
Mark William Haylock, 49, of no fixed abode, spoke only to confirm his details at Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court was told that he stood charged with the murder of Nicolas David Ormerod, 29. The victim has not yet been formally identified by police, nor an inquest into his death opened.
He was remanded into custody to next appear at Winchester Crown Court tomorrow.
Detectives also said that a 39-year-old man had been released on bail, while a 40-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were released without charge.
The victim suffered serious injuries late on Thursday night and died in the early hours of Friday morning at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
Police were called at 11.06pm on Thursday to the incident in Hawkwood Road near to the junction with Sea Road, Boscombe.
