- THE FIRST of our Safari Lent Lunches was a great success – delicious home made soup and crusty bread to fill the inner man and then we started on the York course: ‘ Rich Inheritance – Jesus’ Legacy of Love’ led by Rev. David Plumb of the Weymouth Methodist Circuit – then we studied ‘the Empty Tomb’, which was to feed the soul.
Thank you to Abbotsbury for hosting it – Monday, March 21st at 12.30 -2.00pm, it will be Portesham’s turn and the study is entitled ‘A Group of People’. Monday, March 28th will be at Langton Herring and the session is headed ‘A Story’ – do feel free to join us.
- CHESIL Bank Garden Club will meet on Tuesday, March 22nd at 7.30 pm in Langton Herring village hall to hear a presentation on ‘A Year of the Iris’, by Mr Clive Russell who is a Chelsea Judge & holds the National collection of Space Ager Iris.
This promises to be very interesting and I imagine there will be some beautiful photographs - everybody is welcome, refreshments available.
- WHERE is this month going? – already a reminder that Lunch Club is on Tuesday, March 29th – a delicious fish pie with fresh vegetables followed by a scrumptious sounding desert – I can’t wait!
