- ONCE again local people packed the WI hall for Wyke Regis WI Singers' Christmas concert, this year’s being titled 'Christmas Is'. A Victorian Christmas was the setting for the first scene with costumes and music reflecting the era. The second scene returned to the present day with festive dress and a wide variety of music ranging from John Rutter carols and popular Christmas songs to comedy items.

- WESTHAM community group is delighted to have won the support of Dorset Community Action and DCC for consulting residents about local priorities for the next few years. This will result in the drawing up of an action plan which will help the community access funds for these priorities. The community can then become more and more responsible for supporting itself and less dependent on the councils. The group has £2000 to help with this work and will be drawing up a questionnaire in the New Year. If anyone in Westham feels strongly about a local issue which they would like included in the research, please let David Harris know on david@174grays.clara.co.uk. so that he can include it.
- WESTHAM craft club now meets every Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm at Westham Methodist Church Hall in Milton Road. Both children and adults are welcome.
After Christmas work will begin on designing and building the Westham Carnival Float, so if you want to be involved in next summer's carnival extravaganza with this year’s winning Westham team, contact Ryan Hope on 07794757558 for further details.
