I have been visiting our children and grandchildren who live in Burgundy, France for the last couple of weeks from where I have been sending the Community News

CHESIL Bank Pre School Christmas Fayre will take place on Saturday, December 4
The fun starts in Strangways Hall at 12noon and finishes at 5pm.
Father Christmas arrives at 2.30 pm so come prepared with your wish lists.
There will be refreshments including mulled wine and cheese tasting.
Also among the other delights there will be a raffle, tombola and a cake stall, Christmas decorations and cards, jewellery and books and something quite different, a hair-cutting corner.
THE Friends of St Nicholas Church will be holding their annual Friends evening on Monday, December 6 from 7pm-9pm at Wheelwrights Tearoom thanks to Sue and Nigel Melville
This will be a chance for old Friends and new Friends to have a chat and pay their annual subs over wine and cheese.
So far this year the Friends have raised over £800 through various events for those little extras for the church community.
The Friends subscription remains at £10 for another year.
Anyone wishing to support the group is invited to join them at Wheelwrights where they will be made most welcome.
The St Nicholas Church Patronal service will take place at the church on Sunday, December 5, at 10.30am.
ABBOTSBURY Village Hall is holding its AGM in Strangways Hall on Tuesday, December 7 at 7.30pm
All village residents will be welcomed
LASTLY, a reminder of the ‘Abbotsbury Branchline’ talk on Friday, November 26 in Strangways hall at 7.30pm
The speaker will be the transport historian Brian Jackson.
Admission is £2.50 with all proceeds for the village hall. There will be refreshments during the interval.
