REGULAR users of Broadmayne Village Hall will be disappointed to learn that the extension to the car park will not be proceeding.
Despite the hard work of the trustees, together with the parish council and the playing fields committee, the latter organisation, although previously in agreement, have now voted against the proposal.
The reasons, at the time of writing, are unconfirmed.
WITH regard to the Jazz Evening to be held on Thursday, October 7, tickets at £8 each to include a cold supper and first glass of wine are available from the Village Store or call 854335 or 852285.
Featuring the Julie Lewis Trio plus guest, the performance commences at 7.30pm in Broadmayne Village Hall.
RESERVE Saturday, October 23 for a return visit of the Dorset Corset Theatre Company who will be bringing their own unique style of theatrical magic, live music and drama to the fantastic tale surrounding the creation of one of the greatest stories of all time – “Frankenstein”.
In the village hall, the performance commences at 7.30pm and tickets are £8 each, under 18s, £6 and a family ticket - £24 (max 2 adults) which will be available from the Village Store.
Although there is nothing gruesome in the play, no bad language or scenes of a sexual nature, it is most suitable for people aged 14 and above.
