Slimming World Woman of the Year 2010

Nominations were Jo, Carole, Margaret and Amanda who have collectively lost more than sixteen stones. This equates to 93 Kg!

Margaret Baker was nominated the winner.

She joined Slimming World in January 2006 as her weight was affecting her health. She is a target member and has lost over five stones (29 Kg to be precise!). Margaret now encourages other members to loose weight.

Members from the 7.15pm sessions voted Kate Berry their Slimming World Woman of 2010.

Kate, of Wyke Regis, has been attending Slimming World for a while; shedding three stones nine pounds (21 Kg).

She has been encouraged by Anne, who runs these Slimming World sessions.

COMMUNITY group leaders are reminded that the next Meeting Point Lunch takes place on Tuesday, September 7, 12.30pm-2pm, at St Aldhelm’s Church Hall.

This occasion is an ideal opportunity to update other community groups of planned events, to discuss any help and support that may be required and to raise other issues of mutual interest.

There will also be a brief presentation from Mustoe Shorter, all with a wonderful lunch supplied by Upper Crust.

FRIENDS of Lodmoor Country Park are looking forward to a good crowd at the next general meeting on Thursday, September 16 at the Lodmoor Inn.

The meeting starts at 7pm when plans for the Children's Playground may be viewed.
