A MOTHER and her two young children were left ‘shocked’ after a man inappropriately touched himself in front of them on a bus from Dorchester.

Police are appealing for witnesses to try and identify the individual, in particular anyone else who may have been on the bus at the time.

The woman was with her young son and daughter on the 212 Sureline bus from Dorchester to Yeovil yesterday afternoon when the incident occurred.

Police Constable Anthony Skeldon of Dorchester police said: “The woman and her children boarded the bus at Trinity Street in Dorchester and sat near the back of the vehicle.

“A man looked in their direction while he inappropriately touched himself.

“The victims moved seats, but were understandably shocked.”

The man is described as white, aged in his late twenties or early thirties, around six feet, of medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a navy blue beanie hat, blue jogging bottoms and a blue waterproof jacket.

PC Skeldon added: “I’m appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, and anyone who has any information about the man responsible, to contact me as soon as possible.

“It’s possible that other passengers will have information that will help me with my investigation.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was on the 212 Sureline bus between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday, August 25, to call me urgently.”

Witnesses are asked to contact PC Skeldon on 01305 222222.
