May I, on behalf of the committee for the protection of Markham and Little Francis, thank everyone who helped and attended the Weymouth Fun Dog show and Family Fun Day held at The Marsh on August 15.
Special thanks to Larkin Windows, our main sponsor, judge Sue Peachel, Karen Croad and family, the Lobster Pot Restaurant for donating all of the barbecue food and their outside catering team for cooking it – the Yeovil Agility Club, the Pet Experience Display Team, Rushton Rescue Dogs, the Amberlight Majorettes and finally Weymouth and Portland Borough Council for allowing the use of The Marsh.
The day was a resounding success, enjoyed by the many dog owners and families who attended and raised approximately £2,000 to help pay our legal costs to save the town green.
Hope to see everyone next year.
