HOW I endorse the views of your Portland correspondent that noise annoys.
Wherever you go it’s there – you can’t have a cup of coffee in this town without having to suffer the din of some X Factor failure.
Even banks have started to indulge in this odious practice.
My feelings are for the staff who have to listen to this throughout their working day, imposed by some mindless boss sitting behind a desk miles away who feels it would enhance the atmosphere.
I would make those and their ilk try and walk under the auspices of such trash.
