I am sure all the Echo readers were shocked to read about the £2,557 paid each working day to the NHS Trust temporary chief executive Derek Smith.
Outrage by the overstretched, dedicated nurses was mirrored by those patients who have had to wait many months for their treatment.
This is all happening as the pain clinic consultant anaesthetists are overstretched physically and mentally, while trying to meet the ongoing medical needs of their hundreds of patients.
The time has come to start spending our money allocated to our hospital on us, the patients.
