Weymouth’s Nothe Fort is celebrating its 150th anniversary this weekend so I decided to visit and discover more about it.
The fort is renown for being one of the most haunted places in the country but thankfully there was no sign of things that go bump in the night when I visited.
I had a great time exploring the spooky tunnels and learning all about the fort’s history since work began on building it in 1850.
There is a wide range of displays and and videos, cannons, plus a 1940s cookhouse and shop, among the Nothe’s many attractions.
Join the fort celebrations this weekend from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
