Frampton’s August Cream Teas got off to a good start with lots of customers turning up to this first session to enjoy a delicious tea and support St Mary’s Church at the same time.
Don’t worry if you missed the first two, as there are still three more opportunities (Sunday, August 15 in aid of the Welmar Hospice, Sunday, August 22 to raise funds for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Sunday, August 29 to support Help the Heroes.

- MELBURY Osmund Garden and Show Society will be holding their Summer Show on Saturday, August 21.
- BROOMHILL in Rampisham will be open as part of the National Gardens Scheme on Sunday, August 22 from 2 to 5pm.
Apart from this being an ideal opportunity to view this lovely garden in a very beautiful setting, there will also be home made teas and plants for sale.
- DORCHESTER Classic Vehicle Club will hold a BBQ at Frampton Village Hall on Thursday, August 26 from 7.30pm.
Everybody is welcome.
- WEBBERS Piece Residents’ association in Maiden Newton is looking for someone to help them set up a card group, specialising in whist and crib.
This could possibly take place on Thursday afternoons between 2 and 4pm.
