BABY Jessica Anne Campbell-Bell has turned out to be a contented little girl, according to her father.

Lisa Westwell and Daniel Campbell-Bell’s firstborn arrived on July 22 at Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester, weighing 7lbs 12oz.

Mr Campbell-Bell, 25, who works for Dorset Police, said: “She’s doing surprisingly well and is really content.

“I think she likes attention – she doesn’t really cry too much when you pick her up but she starts crying when she’s left alone.

“She’s our first and it hasn’t really sunk in that I’m a dad yet.

“It’s amazing and I know it’s going to change my life.

“Lisa’s doing really well although she is still quite tired.

“Lisa’s mum and dad and my mum and dad have been to see her.

“Jessica is my mother’s first grandchild and she was in tears when she saw her.

“I think she then went out and bought every baby toy in pink you can find. I think there must be nothing left in the shops by now.”

New mum Lisa, 32, worked as a shop assistant before going on maternity leave and the family lives in Chickerell, Weymouth.
