THE Dorset Echo has helped to relaunch J&S Scott’s newsagents at Dorchester Road, Weymouth, so I thought I would go along and lend a hand by becoming a paper boy, or lion, for the day.
I tried my paws at serving behind the counter and buying a paper, then I was given a bag full of Echos and I set off to make some deliveries.
After all that work I had to rest my paws when I got back, so I enjoyed a refreshing drink at the new Cafe 127 near to the newsagents at Lodmoor Hill.
Postbag: A VERY special mention to Amelia Hawkins, who kindly invited me to Langton Herring’s village fete this Saturday.
It is such a shame I cannot come along, especially as Amelia has promised to buy me an ice cream. Have a great day, Amelia!
Joke time: I DISCOVERED some more interesting facts that children have learned: No matter how hard you try, you can’t baptise cats.
When your mum is mad at your dad, don’t let her brush your hair.
Never ask your three-year-old brother to hold a tomato.
Don’t sneeze when someone is cutting your hair. Never hold a feather duster and a cat at the same time.
