A 25-YEAR reunion has been planned for the former students of a Weymouth school.
Those who attended Broadwey County Secondary School – which later became the Wey Valley School – between 1980 and 1985, are invited.
The reunion has been organised by former pupil Courtney Ellis – formerly Courtney Dyke.
She has created a Facebook page called Broadwey School 25 Year Reunion ‘Class of 85’, which currently has more than 75 members and features old school photos.
The reunion will begin at the Lazy Lizard, Weymouth, on Friday, July 30, at 7.30pm. There will be music by local band Shooter and food will be provided.
Organisers are asking for a donation of £10 per person, payable on the night, to cover costs, with any surplus donated to a nominated charity.
“The event has received fantastic support so far, with a confirmed guest list in excess of 70 ex-pupils returning from all over the UK and Europe,” Courtney said.
“All pupils who attended the school at any time during 1980 to 1985 are invited, along with their partners if desired and of course staff past and present.”
