THE first session of the Dance mats were a great success.
Several mums and toddlers enjoyed the morning session, then in the afternoon we had over twenty people, many said they would bring their friends.
The last session is on Friday, July 30 and then we will return on Friday, September 14 with a full programme.
THE G.well.C Dance Crew are always looking for new dancers of any style, aged 13-20.

The majority of the group is Street dancers and we have done some amazing performances in the past year. Such as performing on the BBC for Children in Need 2009, and the Best of Dorset Talent at the Pavilion and more recently we were asked to put on an welcoming performance for Jonathan Edwards on the Adi Zone.
Grace Markwell choregraphs all dances and they are put together by the group, all rehearsals are in the Park Community Centre.
If you are interested in auditioning to be in the G.well.C Dance Crew then come along on Wednesday at 6pm, and strut your stuff.
Little G.well.C Dancers… Hip Hop and Fun, only £1.50 per child.
If you have a child aged four to eight who loved to boogie around the house, then bring them to the Park Community Centre on Mondays 4pm-5pm.
Each class we learn a new style of dance in a fun way. There is always 15 minutes break to have a drink and a snack. And the parents are welcome to arrive five minutes before the end to see a mini performance of what the children have done.
Contact Grace on 770457 or 0783783167.
THE Waterside Singers from “Can’t Sing… neither Can We” entertained the residents of The Lawns Care Home.
We all enjoyed ourselves doing our songs and then we had a sing-song with the residents and staff, followed by a welcome cup of tea.
My mum, who lives at the home, and her friends are still talking about it, and we have been invited back to sing Carols nearer Christmas, so we can’t be that bad.
THE next luncheon club is on Wednesday, August 4 at the Railway Tavern, Queen Street.
It is great fun and you will be made more than welcome.
ON Thursday, August 5 the Community Forum is holding a stall on the Railway Forecourt.
Any help would be appreciated.
Please telephone on 839579 and leave your name and number.
