FIRST TIME parents Alison and Robert Evans say their son is proving to be ‘a pretty good boy’.
Baby Callum Robert Evans was born at Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester at the end of June weighing exactly 8lbs.
He has been getting on fine since moving into his family home in Cedar Road, Charlton Down.
Mum Alison, 34, and dad Robert, 40, work together at a roof trussing company based in Piddlehinton where she is an administrator and he is an assistant manager.
Alison said: “Callum’s doing fine but his weight dropped to 7lbs 14oz after he came home. He’s our first and it’s everything I thought it would be.
“It’s been tiring but good. He’s been eating well and I’m sure he’s over 8lbs now.
“He wakes up two or three times a night so he’s been a pretty good boy.”
Alison said Callum may be the first of more children but the couple will ‘wait and see’ before they decide to have more.
She added: “We’ve had lots of visitors – lots of grandparents, aunties and uncles and friends around to visit and Callum’s had lots of presents. Rob’s getting on well as a dad.
“He’s had to go back to work now, so he’s a bit tired but we’re both loving it.”
