I FULLY support Barbara Howe in her petition about the move of the Tourist Information Centre from the centre to the outskirts of Weymouth.
I am an OAP and walk slowly and it took me 25 minutes to get to the centre from the bus stop by the bridge and as long again to get back, except with all the travel chaos, the 206 had not arrived 30 minutes after its due time.
If you arrive by train for a day out it is even further to walk. Most towns that I have visited have the information centre within viewing distance of the main bus and coach stop.
One can only express surprise at the speed with which the centre was leased by Bourne Leisure Group. Will we ever be told the price?
