I was walking out of my garden with my small granddaughter ahead of me.
She was just about to step out onto the pavement when I saw a cyclist coming down along the pavement.
If she had been two seconds ahead she would have been badly hurt, if not killed, as this was a man in his 20s with a big bike.
He wouldn’t have been able to avoid her as a car was parked very near (not that it makes any difference as he shouldn’t have been on the pavement in the first place).
You know who you are and I implore you (and any others) to think twice about the consequences of riding on pavements before someone is badly injured. Sally Wallace, Pretoria Terrace, Weymouth
