AFTER 20 years together, Mary Howe and David Shaw of Charminster have tied the marital knot.

Architectural tech-nologist David , who owns the David Shaw Partnership in Dorchester, married part-time sec-retary Mary, at St Mary’s Church, Charminster.

There were 105 people at the service, including the bride’s parents Harold and Mary Swain and the groom’s mum Audrey Shaw-Bale, widow of the late Robin Shaw.

The bride, who wore a Veni Infantino dress with a white bodice with a black jewelled skirt and a corsage on a black ribbon, was given away by her son Matthew.

She was attended by her granddaughters Tilly Hall, 11, Caitlin Whalley, seven and Phoebe Whalley, five.

The best man was the bridegroom’s brother Peter.

After the service the bride said: “We had beautiful weather and it was a lovely day.

“It was all very laid back with family and just a fun, party day for everyone.”

The wedding reception was held at Stratton village hall and included a three-course meal, disco and a performance by singer Naomi Riglar.

The couple had their honeymoon in Pluckley, Kent, and stayed at a medieval farmhouse.
