WEATHER conditions were perfect this year for Children of Fiji’s mass balloon release.
A dedicated team of helpers worked tirelessly to get over 1,000 balloons blown up, tied, labelled and placed in the huge net in time for the 3pm launch. To the strains of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, the multicoloured balloons took to the skies and were soon well out of sight.
Now we just have to wait for the returns to find out whose balloon has travelled the furthest!
