A TEENAGER suffered cuts and bruises to his head and neck after a row in Weymouth.
A Dorset Police spokesman said the 17-year-old was arguing with a woman in Charles Street in the Park District before he sustained the injuries.
Officers are still investigating the cause of his injuries but believe he came into contact with a nearby van.
Police Constable Jake Woodbridge, of Weymouth police, said: “I believe that the injured boy had been involved in a verbal disagreement shortly before he sustained wounds to his neck and head.
“It is not yet clear how he came to sustain these injuries and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any sort of altercation or disagreement along Charles Street at around 4.30pm on Sunday, July 4, to contact me urgently.
“I also understand that two men may have walked past at the time of this incident and I would like to speak with these men.”
Witnesses are urged to contact PC Woodbridge in confidence on 01305 222222.
