The Annual Parish meeting of the Parish Council was held recently.
The Chair, Cllr David Ackerman, welcomed everyone any gave a review of the year's activities.
He said it was pleasing that the Millstream deflector and footbridge had been completed and thanked Mr Ainslie for his efforts over this matter.
Much drainage work has been carried out in Church Lane but this may not be sufficient and an evaluation is to be carried out.
Concerns had been raised over the year about the Pounbury skyline and access to the back road to Dorchester as well as much concern over the speed of traffic through the village.
The Parish plan is going ahead and the whole community is being involved and work is in progress to create a village website.
More grit bins are to be installed on sites agreed by WDDC.
Finally the Chair expressed his concern that none of the present councillors had been elected and the council was short of one member as well as a flood warden and a rep for Village Maintenance and hopefully the Parish Plan will address this issue.
Officers and Representatives then reported on various matters and during the Open session District Councillor Sarah East talked about the new Park and Ride schemes proposed for Dorchester.
There then followed the Annual Parish Council Meeting and Chair, Vice Chair, Representatives and Officers remain the same and it was pointed out that a Flood Warden was urgently needed.
The Parish Council website is to be set up under the title of bradfordpeverellvillage.org.
Andrew Barker, chair of the Parish Plan Steering Group, gave a report of progress so far.
Funding has been obtained fron the Dorset Strategic Partnership and the initial questionnaire gave responses from 40% of the village.
A feedback letter was sent to everyone and a second detailed questionnaire is being prepared for early June.
Under finance the final balance sheet was circulated and approved.
Finally it was advertised that through the Council for the Preservation of Rural England it is possible to fund a youngster as litter warden and it is worth £100 a year.
