THE Radipole Park and Garden Friends are proud of their Spring litter pick.
There was a good turnout for the clean-up and seasonal tidying in time for Easter visitors.
Some of the litter pickets are pictured on the skateboard ramp in the park, the development of which is one of the projects of the Friends group to support young skateboards by improving these facilities.
Karl Nash and Matt Stickley are preparing designs and the Friends group will help the users put together a bid for funds.
The planning and construction is to be carried out by the young people themselves.
THE Friends are looking forward to the annual charity walks in aid of the British Heart Foundation on Sunday, April 18 in Radipole Gardens, 9am-2pm.
The main walks are eight or four miles as well as a toddlers’ walk around the gardens.
All walks start and finish in the gardens near the Alexander Bridge.
The Brass Tacks Band will be playing and RPG Friends are organising a number of events, including a prize treasure hunt and mask making.
The Centenary Club will be open for refreshments and facilities. Sunday lunch may be booked in advance.
As the gardens are flat, people with mobility problems are most welcome and can enjoy these events and lovely surroundings with ease.
THE St Augustine’s Church Stella Maris One World Group is preparing for the next Grand Auction.
This will be on Saturday, May 1, with viewing from10.30am to midday.
