THE sky will come alive tonight as fireworks celebrations get under way.
The Daily Echo is backing two major events, one in Bournemouth and one in Christchurch, and there is guaranteed entertainment at both.
Our roadshows will be at Butcher's Coppice and Stanpit with a variety of goodies up for grabs.
Butcher's Coppice Scout Camp in Holloway Avenue, Kinson is the place to be in Bournemouth and the gates will be open from 5.30pm.
The bonfire will be lit at 6pm and the fireworks start at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 for a family, £4 for adults and £2 for children.
At Stanpit, gates open at 5pm with stalls and musical entertainment. Fireworks start at 7.30pm and entry is £4 for adults and £1 for children.
A firework spectacular is being held on Poole Quay tonight, following on from the success of last year's event organised by Poole Tourism.
Sponsored by Poole Quarter, the night begins at 6pm with live music from Djambo and entertainment from Jonathan the Jester and friends.
The free fireworks display will then take place from the water at 8pm.
Canford Arena, the Littledown Centre, Stourfield School and the Alice Lisle Inn are among other venues holding Guy Fawkes celebrations.
