REMEMBER, remember - just two days to go until the loudest and most sparkly night of the year.
Bonfire night in Dorset promises to be a real treat this November 5 with public fireworks displays planned across the county.
And those attending two local events on Saturday will also get the opportunity to stock up on a spectacular selection of Daily Echo and Advertiser goodies.
Our teams will be on hand at the Christchurch Community Bonfire and Fireworks at Stanpit and also at Butcher's Coppice Scout Camp at Holloway Avenue in Kinson, Bournemouth. We are sponsoring both events and have a fun range of goodies up for grabs.
The fun starts at Stanpit when the gates open at 5pm with stalls and musical entertainment from the Gugge marching band. Fireworks will blast off at 7.30pm and entry costs £4 for adults and £1 for children.
The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Christchurch and also includes a Best Guy competition, kids soccer contest and a wide variety of stalls.
At Butcher's Coppice crowds will be entertained with children's rides, stalls and competitions, refreshments, barbecues and inflatables.
The gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6pm and the fireworks start at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 for a family, £4 for adults and £2 for children. Prices are reduced if tickets are purchased in advance and the ticket hotline can be contacted on 07951-652612.
The events are just two of a number planned across the area this weekend.
Canford Arena in Magna Road will host the Big Bang firework display. Gates open at 4pm with the main firework display at 8.30pm. Tickets cost £5 per person.
And the Littledown Centre in Bournemouth has three firework displays for the price of one.
Thousands of people are expected to attend the see the rainbow show at 7pm, the family show at 8pm and the "white knuckle" show at 9pm. There will also be an indoor play zone, free glow toys, live entertainment, a licensed bar and food.
Tickets cost £6 per adult and £3 per child on the night.
Stourfield Junior School in Cranleigh Road, Southbourne will be the venue for a major bonfire night event to raise cash for school books.
A huge bonfire will be lit at 6pm with a firework display at 7.30pm. There will also be a climbing wall, bouncy castle, barbecue and rides for children.
Tickets are available in advance from the school office or on the gate on the night.
