NEW YORK new wave legends Blondie are to feature former-Strangler's frontman Hugh Cornwell as opening act on their forthcoming tour.
They play the Bournemouth International Centre on Saturday November 19.
Blondie's tour coincides with the release of their Greatest Hits Sight & Sound CD/DVD which hits the stores on Monday, November 7.
The accompanying DVD includes videos made between 1977 and 1982, including the groundbreaking promotional work for Denis and The Tide is High as well as their most recent productions for Maria and Good Boys.
Cornwell, meanwhile, will be promoting his latest album, Beyond Elysian Fields, and the new single, Picked Up by the Wind.
Blondie's UK tour follows their performance last month on the internationally televised Swarovski Fashion Rocks show, a Princes Trust benefit staged at the Grimaldo Forum in Monaco.
Guest of honour was Prince Albert II while Deborah Harry and band were part of an all-star line-up that included Bon Jovi, Mariah Carey, Kasabian and Jamie Cullum.
Blondie was also recently chosen as one of 15 finalists for induction into the prestigious Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland along with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Sabbath, the Sex Pistols, Patti Smith, the Stooges and John Mellencamp, among others.
