IT'S the moment we've all been waiting for - Matt Lucas and David Walliams bring the new stage version of their multi-award winning radio turned Tv show Little Britain to the newly re-opened Bournemouth International Centre tonight.

The massively expanded venue, gleaming from a £22 million facelift, will be their home for the next four nights as the sell-out show - a canny mix of sketches and observational comedy - packs in thousands of fans.

With hugely popular characters like Vicky Pollard, Dafydd and Lou and Andy, the production is onto a sure-fire winner even before the curtain goes up.

The only problem that is likely is one of traffic congestion. When 3,200 councillors, council employees, builders, contractors, hoteliers and other contacts were given a special preview of the new-style BIC in action on Monday, it was clear that parking and traffic jams were the one negative factor likely to tarnish what is otherwise a brilliant venue.

The special staging of That'll Be the Day had to be held up for 15 minutes to get everyone into their seats.

If 3,000 people can cause those kind of snarl-ups on a Monday evening in October, heaven only knows what it's going to be like at the height a heaving summer season.

My advice to anyone heading for Little Britain is to aim to get there early.
