ALEX Pike is proving a hard man to please, criticising his side for "lacking passion" despite a sixth consecutive Wessex One victory at Lymington Town.
Goals in either half from John Waldock and Kevin Gill consolidated Hammers' spot in the top four but Pike was still not happy.
He said: "I was disappointed. There were no meaningful tackles and we lacked passion. Lymington looked the better side even when they went down to 10 men.
"I don't subscribe to the view that you must be a good side to win even when you're not playing well. If you're not playing well, then the writing is on the wall."
Waldock smashed home the ball following a corner in the first half to put Hammers ahead. John Bailey was then dismissed for two bookable offences before Gill finished off a quick break to seal the points.
Hamworthy United: Hutchings, Gilbert, Williams, Lockyer, White, Waldock, Edwards, Legg, Tilley (Orchard, 70), Cann, Gill. Unused subs: Pidgley, Baguley, Dovell, Wilson.
