BORED youngsters in villages around Blandford could soon be making use of an exciting new mobile youth service.
Youth leaders in the town have been given a minibus which is being converted before hitting the road to meet groups of young people in isolated rural communities.
"The bus will be equipped with a range of fun games and activities and advice and information leaflets so that the young people attending can get access to the right type of support," said Andrew Price, area youth and community workers for the Blandford area.
"Also on board will be qualified members of staff who will help the young people to find a voice and get the most out of the communities they live in."
Mr Price said many youngsters living in rural areas had difficulty accessing services in Blandford because of poor public transport.
"I was brought up in Tarrant Keyneston so I am aware of the problems some of these sleepy villages have," he said.
The L-registered minibus was donated by Sherborne Youth Centre and North Dorset District Council gave a £4,000 grant towards the refurbishment costs.
It is hoped the project will be up and running before Christmas.
