VAN MORRISON is to play Salisbury City Hall on November 4
The legendary singer songwriter and sometime saxophonist will arrive in the city for one of his celebrated nights of jazz, blues and R&B.
The 60-year-old Belfast born musician first hit the headlines back in the mid 1960s when as a precocious 20-year-old vocalist, he arrived in London fronting the band Them.
After making his mark on the burgeoning R&B scene Morrison headed for the States and emerged a few months later with some ground-breaking new material that would eventually form the basis of his Astral Weeks album. A legend was born.
Now, more than three decades on, he is a still producing startlingly original sounds as well as adding his own inimitable touch to the music of others.
