DORCHESTER boss Mark Morris will tell his men to forget the nightmare last half hour of their Bank Holiday game against Sutton United when they visit Welling United tomorrow (noon).
"We can do very little about what finally happened because it turned into a situation we could never have envisaged," said Morris whose side crashed 5-0 to the league leaders on Monday after defenders Scott Morgan and Simon Radcliffe were sent off within the space of two minutes.
"We have to forget the result and concentrate on the positives," added Morris. "For an hour we played against Sutton like we left off at Cambridge and were the better side.
"We passed the ball well and caused them a lot of problems and we have to get back to that kind of performance at Welling tomorrow. We can't change what happened after we went down to nine men, we just have to learn from it and move on.
"I have seen enough so far to know we are on the right tracks. We have a lot of good young kids coming through and concentrating on progressing with them is really our only option."
Morris expects skipper Alex Browne to be back in contention tomorrow after he missed Monday's game with a slight muscle pull at the back of a knee, but goalkeeper Craig Bradshaw and midfielders Mark Robinson and Mark Jermyn are still ruled out by injury.
"Alex will have a fitness test tomorrow but I expect him to be ok," said Morris who then has to decide whether to recall his skipper to the centre of a five-man defence or stick with Andy Harris.
He did a good job as Browne's replacement early on in the superb 2-1 win at Cambridge and was doing well on Monday until the two dismissals changed the course of the game.
"Ideally I would like to get back to playing the system we operated so well at Cambridge," said Morris.
That suggests men like Browne, Jamie Brown, Justin Keeler and Warren Byerley, who are all back in contention tomorrow, may be in for another wait on the subs' bench.
