WEYMOUTH Wildcats boss Brian White says his men now need to win more meetings on their travels if they are to capture the Conference League title.

"And that starts tonight at Wimbledon," said White whose team's championship chances took a knock on Monday when they went down by two points in a thriller against the Dons at the Wessex Stadium.

"I had counted on us winning all our fixtures at home and several away, so now we have to win one extra one away to make up for Monday.

"We definitely need to win tonight because if we lose again and they pick up the bonus point it will bring them level with us in the table.

"We are certainly capable of winning at Wimbledon which is a track quite a few of my riders know well, but we just need to get a little more from one or two of our side."

White felt that a couple of refereeing decisions went against his men on Monday and that proved crucial when there were only two points separating the sides at the end.

"The most disappointing one was in heat two when their reserve Lee Strudwick fell over when there was no-one near him," said White.

"We felt he should have been excluded but the referee said it was an unsatisfactory start and left him in and he went and won the re-run."

Strudwick went on to collect a paid 12 points and White would be delighted if one of his reserves achieved something similar at Wimbledon.

The only change in Wildcats line-up at Plough Lane is at reserve where Lewis Dannaway replaces the unavailable Matt Bates.

Wildcats: Mason, Brown, Gledhill, Bridger, Clement, Dannaway.
