BACK when house was first exerting its grip on the capital's clubs, most of the early movers and, indeed, shakers still found space to make long lost nuggets of 70s disco and soul speak to the saucer-eyed love cats ripping up the dancefloors. And those mighty folk at Original Soundtrack have a supercool track record in reissuing such delights so it makes perfect sense for them to turn over a selection of cuts to some of the players who cut 'em up back in the day.

Norman Cook has had a dabble with Sharon Brown's mighty Family Tree and there's a whopping eight minute run down of Patti Jo's Make Me Believe In You courtesy of Xpress 2's Ashley Beedle. Even better is the dubbed up, blissed out take on Minnie Riperton's Les Fleur; while Tim Love Lee's re-edit of Ray Barretto's Soul Drummers works an instant rush on the back of the head.

If you're missing the summer already, here are 77 sun kissed minutes of pure ecstasy just waiting to be embraced, hugged and grinned all over. Sweet.
