REZA Sotoudeh returned to haunt his former club as Christchurch came from behind to get off the mark at Western Way.
Priory's new signing, who enjoyed two spells with the Harlequins, grabbed a second-half double to earn Andy Leader's side their first points of the season.
Leader said: "Reza will get all the plaudits, but it was a good all-round team performance, especially the second half and we got our just rewards.
"I'm very pleased for the players. We showed a lot of character to come back from 1-0 down at half-time and we also had our backs to the wall after losing our first two games.
"They also showed lots of spirit and commitment, but, most importantly, they showed a great deal of togetherness in the second half.
"We're up and running now and I'm really pleased because the players worked hard and deserved to win after their second-half performance."
Priory went behind to Paul Palmer's 30th-minute opener before the visitors came out with all guns blazing and drew level nine minutes into the second half.
Sotoudeh finished an excellent move involving Duncan Wells and Lewis Till, scoring at the second attempt after his first effort had come back off the upright.
A stunning save from Priory goalkeeper Gareth Barfoot denied Joe Sanger before Sotoudeh popped up to drill home the winner with a thumping 25-yard drive five minutes from time.
Christchurch: Barfoot, Wells, Elliott, Crutchley, Hughes, Till, Jenvey, Lawrence, Burt, Sotoudeh, Woolner (Roberts, 70). Unused subs: Knopps, Legg, Hollier (g/k).
